Become a Notary Public

Please read:  Class is subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. The lecture will be a livestream seminar and the exam will be taken in-person. Notary Public Seminars will send lecture information via email and your exam time once registered. Due to State regulations, no one will be admitted to the classroom after 8 AM. You must come prepared with the following items: 1) Proper ID, which may be one of the following: a. State-issued Driver’s license or ID card; b. Canadian or Mexican Driver’s license; c. U.S. Passport or a passport issued by a foreign government or d. U.S. Military or ID card; 2) $40 check or money order payable to “Secretary of State”; 3) 2” x 2” color passport photo; 4) Proof of Completion for educational requirements (provided at the end of the livestream seminar); 5) #2 pencil; and 6) Face mask or face covering. Live Scan fingerprints will be required after you pass the exam. Serious convictions may disqualify applicants. Must be 18+ years of age. To operate as a Notary requires an investment in the following: you will need a notary stamp, bond and journal. Insurance is recommended. Notary Public Seminars will have optional notary packages available starting at $309, but offer discounts the day of class. Social distancing will be enforced. Candidates must bring and wear a mask or face covering at all times during the registration process and the exam. Candidates who do not wear a mask or face covering will not be allowed to test. Any face-covering where the nose and mouth are fully covered is acceptable. Masks and face coverings will not be provided to candidates. Proctors may request that candidates adjust their face mask to visually confirm the candidate’s identity during the registration process. Hand sanitizer will be provided, and students may bring hand sanitizer if they wish. Candidates may bring and wear disposable gloves to the exam. Candidates must complete a health screening prior to entry to be permitted to test. Please note that the exam may be canceled at any time based on Covid-19 restrictions.
