Listed on the registry of Historic Hotels of America, The Greenbrier features beautifully appointed guestrooms and magnificent lobbies. The halls of the resort are decorated with thousands of poinsettias and Christmas greens, which make this a holiday to remember. A historical tour of this architectural masterpiece is included, as well as a visit to the resort’s famed underground bunker. This one time top-secret structure is now open to the public. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the resort. Day four depart the Greenbrier and stop at Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia. This unique retail outlet features artisan products and food fare from across the Mountain State. Shop from over 20,000 items, try local cuisine and visit the galleries. Later, come to the town of Bristol, which straddles the Tennessee and West Virginia state line. Here, you visit the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, a state of the art, interactive experience which celebrates the influence and importance of Bristol's rich and unique musical heritage. Day five experience Christmas at the Biltmore with an estate tour. Recapture the magic of the season at America’s largest home. The larger-than-life Yuletide celebration includes dozens of Christmas trees, more than 400 wreaths and bows and over 700 poinsettias. The highlight is the 35-foot Fraser fir covered with ornaments, tinsel and beading. This evening, enjoy a special holiday dinner at the Biltmore Estate and their Candlelight Christmas Tour to experience the home as the warm glow of firelight and candlelight fill the rooms. Choirs and musicians perform holiday favorites as the home is transformed into a vision of enchanted beauty. Day six travel to North Carolina to the Billy Graham Library and Museum. Designed to reflect his journey from a humble farm boy to an international figure, the barn-shaped building is filled with exhibits, personal possessions, a bookstore and replica of Billy’s boyhood home. Later, visit the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens for their annual Holidays at the Garden featuring holiday lights, an illuminated prairie garden and a musically orchestrated topiary display. There’s live music, holiday shopping, crackling fires to warm hands and a host of model train displays. Enjoy a farewell dinner and say goodbye to a magical holiday trip. Day seven the tour ends and you head home filled with the holiday spirit.
