Motorcycle/Scooter Riders’ Training Range 2 Standby - Summer 2024 Term

ClassGraphic The California Motorcyclist Safety Program (CMSP) Motorcyclist Range 2 Standby course is designed for students who were a No-Show, Counseled-Out, or previously failed the Motorcycle/Scooter Riders’ Training Skills Test at Modesto Junior College. This Range 2 course must adhere to all the same requirements as a Range 2 that is part of a normal California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcyclist Training Course.

Students must attend the classroom instruction and/or two range sessions and be on time. Contact Motorcycle Director, Jim Jenkins. If you are late to any portion of the class for any reason, you forfeit the entire course fee. To reschedule, you will need to call the office and pay the Motorcycle/Scooter Riders’ Training Course full tuition rate.

Registration and payment for this course does not guarantee a DL389 Certificate, you must successfully complete the class.

Student could participate in the course by reserving our scooter or using your student-owned Scooter. Special requirements apply when using your student-owned Scooter. You must call the office in advance at (209) 575-6063. Read Special Notice before registering.

Notice

Please read:  Must register for this course once within 60 days of a No-Show, Counseled-Out, or failed the Motorcycle/Scooter Riders’ Training Skills Test. The course tuition is non-refundable. Students are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to bring a DOT approved, 3/4 or full-face helmet and gloves. We provide helmets for range classes. You will need to wear heavy jeans, a long sleeve shirt that covers the wrists, eye protection (can be sun/eyeglasses or visor in helmet), full finger leather gloves, and heavy boots that cover the ankle (hiking, riding or work boots). Contact the MJC Community Lifelong Learning office at (209) 575-6063 to register, or if you have questions. Class is subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.
